Delete Your rypil Account

You can request deletion of your rypil account and personal information at anytime

Option 1: Delete from the rypil mobile app

  1. Open the rypil app

  2. Go to Profile / Settings

  3. Tap Delete account

  4. Follow the confirmation steps

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can’t access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us:

Email: support@rypil.com
Subject: Delete my rypil account

Please include:

  • The email address used for your rypil account

  • (Optional) Your phone number (if it’s on the account)

  • A brief note confirming you want your account deleted

To protect your account, we may ask you to verify ownership before completing the request.

What happens after you request deletion

After you submit a deletion request:

  • Your account is placed into a pending deletion state.

  • We start a 7-day grace period. During this period, your request is scheduled for completion and helps protect against accidental or unauthorized deletion.

  • At the end of the grace period, we complete deletion by removing your personal information from our systems. We may keep a minimal record that your account was deleted (without personal identifiers) for security, audit, and accounting purposes.

If you change your mind during the grace period, contact support as soon as possible.

What we remove

When deletion is completed, we remove or anonymize personal information associated with your account, such as:

  • Profile information (name, email, phone, etc.)

  • Linked institution access data (for example, Plaid tokens associated with your account)

  • Device/app identifiers (such as notification tokens)

  • User-generated content (posts/uploads), where applicable

What we may retain

For legal, security, and accounting reasons, we may retain certain records required to operate the platform responsibly (for example, transaction/ledger and payout records). Where these records must be retained, we do so in a way that does not identify you personally (we remove or anonymize personal identifiers).

Timing and confirmation

  • Deletion requests are completed after the 7-day cooling/grace period.

  • If you request deletion in the app, you’ll see confirmation that the request was submitted.

  • If you request deletion by email, we will confirm once the request has been completed (after account ownership is verified).
